This is the second major success in the drive against militants during the past couple of weeks. Earlier the anti-terror police had busted training centres of Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) in deep jungles and arrested a number of top militants of the group.

Police said Emadadullah was the main coordinator of Pak based LeT in the country. He was also overseeing LeT operations across the border in India.

'He was involved in transportation of bomb making materials across the border', the police said adding that he could have sneaked into Bangladesh some time in 2006 after escaping from the custody of West Bengal police.
