One of the arrested persons, Liu Xiaobo (54) is given an 11- year jail term. He invited the wrath by writing a petition seeking multi-party democracy. More arrests and indictments for endangering state security have been carried out in China over the past two years than in the entire five-year period from 2003 to 2007, the Foundation said.
