Colombian sought in 1994 Argentina attack
Argentina's federal prosecutor said he has issued an international arrest warrant for a Colombian suspected of playing a role in the 1994 bombing of a Jewish center that killed 85 people.
Alberto Nisman accused Samuel Salman El Reda Wednesday of being "the maximum reference on a local level" for the organization that carried out the attack on the Argentine-Israeli Mutual Association on July 18, 1994, the state-run news agency Telam reported.
Nisman said he told Rodolfo Canicoba Corral, a federal judge, that he based his request for the arrest on telephone calls between Buenos Aires, communications centers for the Iranian-backed Lebanese militia Hezbollah and the tri-border region of Paraguay, Argentina and Brazil, known for its porous borders and busy black markets.
