Kasab Is Not A Minor, Doctors tell Mumbai Court

‘Undoubtedly, Mohammad Ajmal Kasab is not a minor’, doctors told a Mumbai court after conducting tests on the lone terrorist survivor of 26/11. The tests followed Kasab’s claim that he was a juvenile at the time of the attacks last November.

Doctors conducted dental examination and bone-density tests on Kasab and pronounced him an adult.

‘Doctors unanimously arrived at the conclusion that accused Kasab was more than 20 years of age’, public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam told reporters outside the special prison court on Tuesday.

Now he will cross-examine the medical witnesses Wednesday, focusing on the possible margin of error in the tests, he said.

Charges against Kasab include ‘waging war’’ on India, murder, attempted murder and kidnapping in connection with the November 26-29 carnage that left 166 people dead and more than 300 injured.
