1. Awami Awaz editorially discussed the statement of Pakhtunkhwah Milli Awami Party chief, Muhammad Khan Achakzai that no one can oust the Afghan refugees from KP province and that the province belongs to the Afghans. The refugee issue is a sensitive matter. The refugee issue should be addressed by the federal government, the KP government and global agencies engaged in refugee work. 2.Jang editorially commented on the government decision to allow the Afghan refugees to stay in Pakistan for another six months. Pakistan has gone out of the way to provide all the facilities to the Afghan refugees but they have introduced Kalashnikov culture and terrorism in Pakistan. (Jang Edit)

1. Federal Interior Minister Nisar Ali Khan has said Iran has provided all the records of RAW agent Kulbhushan Yadav. Tehran also provided the records of the movements of Yadav’s companions. The Indian PM Modi wants to split Pakistan. (Jasarat)
INDIA
1. PM’s advisor on foreign affairs, Sartaj Aziz said India is reluctant to talk to Pakistan since it fears that we will take up the Kashmir issue. India is ready for talks on all issues but Kashmir and Pakistan wants the Kashmir issue to be resolved first as it is the root cause of all other problems.. There are many non-state actors active in the region with an agenda to keep both the neighbours trolling each other. It is the right of India to strive for the NSG membership but to create hurdles in the way of Pakistan for doing the same will harm the region. Indian PM Narendra Modi tries to appease the US by visiting Washington and stating that together they will block the road of progress for China. On its part, China told India that the US is not the entire world and that the US support does not meant support of every other country on the planet. 2. Pervez Khattak, the CM of Khyber Pakhtunkhwah, has criticised Muhammad Khan Achakzai’s statement that the province belongs to the Afghans. He pointed out that the people of KP had voted for Pakistan in 1947. Khattak explained that the real problem is not the refugees but the un-registered foreign nationals. 3. The Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Chief Liaqat Bloch said reference filed by PTI and PPP with the Election Commission against the PM was not a joint decision of the Opposition. 1. Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) has revived the Kalabagh Dam proposal claiming that the Kalabagh Dam can be built at half the cost of the Bhasha Dam. 1. Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has started looking into the charges against the MQM and its Chief, Altaf Hussain. The FIA possess the records of the interview given by Shahryar Khan Niazi, the former Pakistani Head of Mission in the UK. 1. Gilgit-Baltistan has decided to boycott the Shandur Festival in Chitral and indicated plans to hold its own three day festival instead. This follows failure of talks with the KP government for equal representation in the organisation committee. GB officials stand is that Shandur is a part of Ghizer and therefore it belongs to GB but Chitral administration and the KP government are keeping an illegal control over the area.
