LAHORE: The security of Chinese engineers, working in different projects in Punjab, has been enhanced after threats from terrorist groups, sources told Daily Times on Tuesday.
Inspector General (IG) of Police Punjab Tariq Saleem Doger has issued a circular, directing the senior police officers to submit the details of Chinese living in their respective regions to provide them security.
An intelligence agency, in its report some weeks ago, had warned the law enforcement agencies of terrorist attacks on Chinese engineers working at Nandipur Power Project in Sargodha division and those residing in Wapda Town in Gujranwala.
