SJMM detonates bomb in Nuwakot to scare VDC secys NUWAKOT: The Samyukta Jatiya Mukti Morcha (SJMM), underground outfit, detonated a socket bomb in Nuwakot Wednesday night to press the VDC secretaries to resign. The bomb was planted in the corner of a road at Chautaro in Bidur Municipality-2. However, the blast caused no damage. Talking to journalists on phone, SJMM area in-charge Bairagi said the blast was triggered to warn VDC secretaries of the district to resign. "Though more than 1,500 VDC secretaries had put in papers across the country, secretaries in Nuwakot have not resigned yet. Thus, we planted the bomb targeting the house of secretary of Bageshwori VDC Ram Lal Dangol." He warned that houses and land of VDC secretaries will be seized if they did not resign now and accused them of corruption. Earlier a month ago, SJMM had written letters to VDC secretaries asking them to quit. http://www.ekantipur.com/2010/07/15/national/sjmm-detonates-bomb-in-nuwakot-to-scare-vdc-secys/318512/ 2.Police start probe into 'mysterious' death of Maoist combatants Kathmandu, July 16: District police office of Rupandehi has started investigation into the mysterious death of two combatants of the Unified CPN (Maoist) who were found dead outside Krishnasen Smriti Brigade, Thursday.
