AFGHANISTAN

  1. Balochistan National Party has opposed extending the stay of the Afghan refugees. The move wil not be accepted. This extension is a conspiracy against the Baloch race. It is an attempt to make Balochis a minority in their own homeland The Afghan refugees should be sent back immediately. (Daily Intekhab)
  1. Afghan refugees will be allowed to stay in Pakistan till September 2017, the Cabinet decided. It approved the NOCs for importing non-commercial medicines from India. (Ummat)
  1. Columnist Arif Bahar writes that a third party had foiled efforts of Pakistan to bring Afghan Taliban and Kabul government to the talks table. A peace conference on Afghanistan will be held next month in Moscow with China, Russia and Pakistan in attendance. Among other issues, the meet will discuss ways to stop Daesh march in Afghanistan.   1. Security forces have arrested three Afghanistan-trained terrorists from Gadap area of Karachi. Weapons used by the armed wing of a political group also were seized. (Nawa-i-Waqt)

INDIA

  1. Sources close of top military circles say that to counter increasing Indian aggression, Pakistan will have to once again revive and activate ‘Long Arm’. This option is being discussed seriously. When Hamid Gul was heading the ISI, Pakistan’s ‘Long Arm’ had reached Tamil Tigers and Indian Maoists. During Benazir Bhutto’s first term as PM the ‘Long Arm’ started to pull back. And became completely inactive during the reign of President Pervez Musharraf. (Ummat)
  1. India’s war madness will cause war between India and Pakistan. India is encouraged because it enjoys US’ support and has an alliance with Israel. The Pak Amy Chief General Raheel Sharif is due to retire. Panama Leaks has created a chaos. India is carrying out aggression exploiting these facts. Pakistan government is to be blamed for not putting India under pressure. Prime Minister Sharif should appeal to the UN member countries for convening an emergency session of the Security Council to resolve the Kashmir issue and to end India’s aggression. (Ausaf Edit)

  1. JuD Chief Hafiz Saeed said that Modi Government should be given a jaw breaking response for India’s aggression at the LoC. India has started an undeclared war but Indian soldiers are not courageous enough to face Pakistan’s Army. Religious and political leaders, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Khurshid Mehmood Qureshi and Sheri Rahman strongly condemned unprovoked firing at LoC by Indian forces and said Indian PM is doing this to win election; however, he will have to pay heavy price.   1. Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister Hafiz-ur-Rahman said Indian Prime Minister Modi is unable to digest Pakistan’s progress and therefore is killing innocents at the LoC. Modi should bear in mind that Pakistan will not get perturbed by his dirty intentions. India will have to face defeat at every front because entire Pakistan is behind its Army. (Daily K2)
  1. PPP leader Latif Khosa said that US, acting through India wants to influence the CPEC. He said PM Sharif should not maintain personal friendly relations with India. Pakistan’s foreign policy is quite weak. (Khabrain)
  1. Khabrain group Chief Editor and senior journalist Zia Shahid said that India is taking advantage of the Dawn news leak and has mounted an aggression along the LoC. India is killing civilians and military personnel. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Foreign Advisor Sartaj Aziz should order shelling of Indian border areas.   1. Pakistan’s DGMO told his Indian counterpart that Pakistan has kept its right reserved to respond to India’s aggression. Pakistan will choose the place and time of its own choice to respond.   1. AJK Jamaat-e-Islami Chief, Abdul Rashid Turabi, who is also a lawmaker, said that Indian Premier Modi has imposed undeclared war on LoC. Pakistanis should raise as one nation to defend the country and to liberate Kashmir. AJK was liberated by jihad and the remaining Kashmir will also be liberated by jihad. Former AJK PM, Sardar Attique Ahmad Khan, who is also Muslim Conference President, has said the government should immediately appoint a Foreign Minister for aggressive diplomatic campaign against India.  PAK SCENE- DEFENCE EXHIBITION

  1. Pakistan displayed latest version of Al-Khalid tank, Al-Khalid-1 at IDEAS 2016. (Urdupoint)
  1. At the International Defence Exhibition IDEAS 2016, the Pakistani weapons on display are cheap but feature advanced technology. Because of the domination of the weapons market by super powers, Pakistan finds it difficult to sell its weapons. India, which has been firing on LoC, should not forget that Pakistan’s Ballistic missile Shahin-3 is enough to destroy New Delhi within three minutes. (Khabrain Edit, Ausaf Edit)
  1. IDEAS- Defence Exhibition with its tag line ‘Arms for Peace and Prosperity’ will send a good message across the world that Pakistan is a peace loving country. Its weapons are only for self-defence. At the same time it will send a strong signal to the enemies that Pakistan is not a cake anyone could eat. Indian forces made a dastardly attack on a passenger bus in Neelum area. Attacks on general public by the Indian forces are no more than war crimes.   1. Columnist Bashir Sadozai writes that Russia’s participation in the defence exhibition IDEAS 2016 is significant. In all 43 nations including China and Turkey are participating in the exhibition, which has attracted 261 companies.  SINDH/BALOCHISTAN/KP/PUNJAB

  1. Agha Hasan Baloch and other BNP leaders said their party is opposed to conduct of Census in Balochistan at the moment. On the one hand lakhs of Afghan refugees are living here and on the other hand more than sixty per cent of the Balcoh population is not covered under the I-cards scheme. All census conducted earlier, were conducted along with refugees. 75% of Baloch people were not included in the population data. Today, in most of the divisions, Balochs are in majority but are recorded as minority in the government records. This is grave injustice   and should be corrected. The BNP leaders also demanded rehabilitation of lakhs of people who had to leave Balochistan during the regime of Pervez Musharraf.  (Daily Intekhab)
