A day after the Eid is also a holiday across Pakistan and so not many news portals are updated. The few which are attracting hits are focused on the Imran Khan charisma. The former cricketer is not disappointing with his claims that he today enjoys the support of 60% of the parliamentarians. As if proving him right, disgruntled MNAs and politicians from other parties are knocking at the doors of the PTI, which is all set to gatecrash into the Sindh with rallies at Sukkur, Hyderabad, Larkana and Karachi. AFGHANISTAN
1. Prominent journalist Zia Shahid said that the Indian Railways project of laying down railway tracks from Iran to Afghanistan would affect Pakistan’s influence in Afghanistan as Pakistan has been the only way of accessing Afghanistan. (Khabrain, 7 November)

INDIA-MFN
1. APHC (G) Chief Syed Ali Geelani said that it was on American pressure that Pakistan has given the MFN status to India. (Jang, 7 November)    

2. In his article, Zarar Pirzada says that Pakistan’s decision to give India MFN status is worth appreciation. He says that despite the reaction of the anti-India lobby, this is a very well timed decision. Pirzada says that the enlightened sections of Pakistani society are in favour of good ties with India. He remarks that whenever a civilian government in Pakistan has made friendly gestures towards India, it has had to pay the price for it. And in that sense the decision could be a dangerous one. 3. A semi-government Indian think-tank has advised the Indian government to use the nuclear bomb without any hesitation in case China dares to attack India like Pakistan attacked Kargil. (Baad-e-Shimal, 6 November)

UNITED STATES

1. In his column, Abdul Hafiz Amirpuri writes the US attacked Afghanistan with the intention to ruin it, and then get hold of Pakistan’s nuclear weapons, but this agenda has failed as the Taliban have given a befitting response to the Americans. He says that this long war has badly affected the American economy.  (Al Qalam Weekly, 4 November to 10 November)

1. A suicide bomber got killed in an aborted bomb blast attempt in Hazara town in Quetta. (Ibrat, 6 November)

POLITICAL DEVELOPMENTS
1. PTI Chief Imran Khan said that he has the support of 60% of parliamentarians and that no one could stop the change he was striving for. (Jang, 7 November)

2. PTI is holding talks with disgruntled MNAs and politicians from other parties for their induction into PTI. It is also set to test waters in Sindh as it plans to carry out rallies in Sukkur, Hyderabad, Larkana and Karachi. (Most dailies)

3. Former Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that he will declare his next strategy in a meeting to be held later in the month, near the Sindh-Punjab border. He said he had already announced he has no connections with PPP and hence, will not contest elections on a PPP ticket. (Kawish, 6 November)

ECONOMY-WATER- ENERGY
1. Another application has been submitted in the Supreme Court for hearing a petition filed 11 years ago demanding construction of the Kalabagh Dam. (Kawish, 6 November)

2. 76 developmental projects have been approved under the Rawalpindi Developmental Program and each MPA would be granted Rs. 80 lakh under this program. (Jinnah, 7 November)

3. Pakistan national carrier, PIA’s deficit has reached Rs 30 billion. (Jinnah, 7 November)
Editorials on Eid-ul-Azha and the purpose behind sacrificing animals say that the day is observed to commemorate the sacrifice made by Prophet Ibrahim and his son Prophet Ismail. (Daily Intekhab Edit, Ummat Edit, 7 November)

SINDH
1. Reacting to allegations made by former minister Zulfikar Mirza, Sindh Interior Minister Manzoor Wasan said that Mirza should clarify his relations with PML-Q’s Shujaat Chaudhary and intelligence agencies. He added Mirza should also clarify his relations with Sindh National Party Amir Bhambroo. Wasan said that Mirza is in PPP because of President Zardari. (Awami Awaz, 6 November)
